VEYLINE BY PAYLOAD

The production layer for x402 + MCP.

Veyline is the economic control and assurance plane for autonomous commerce. It sits around the protocols your agents already use — x402, MCP, and more — and makes every economic operation safe, provable, and recoverable: intent checked, payment verified, settlement confirmed, execution exactly once, delivery proven, outcome recorded.

What it is

Not a wallet. Not a payment facilitator.
An assurance plane for machine commerce.

Veyline is the infrastructure that surrounds an economic operation from start to finish. When an AI agent needs to pay for something, settle a transaction, or execute a paid action, Veyline is the layer that verifies the intent is legitimate, the payment is real, the settlement actually happened, the execution ran exactly once, and the evidence is preserved.

Economic control

Every operation passes policy checks before money moves. Spending limits, approved actions, and commercial terms are enforced by the platform — not left to the agent's discretion.

Settlement certainty

Veyline independently verifies payments on-chain and classifies settlement as confirmed, unconfirmed, or unknown — never guessing. Ambiguity is reported, not hidden.

Recovery, not just retries

When operations fail mid-flight, Veyline recovers them safely: no duplicate charges, no duplicate effects, no silent failures. Every operation has a known terminal state.

Who it's for

Built for people shipping autonomous commerce

AI agent developers

Your agents need to pay for APIs, data, and services. Veyline gives them a safe way to do it — with policy guardrails, spend limits, and proof of every transaction.

API providers

Charge per call with x402 and let Veyline handle the hard parts: payment verification, settlement certainty, duplicate protection, and auditable evidence.

Autonomous commerce builders

Building marketplaces, agent economies, or machine-to-machine payment flows? Veyline is the control plane that keeps the economics correct when no human is watching.

The problem

Agents are moving money without a safety layer

The x402 protocol solved how software pays. Nobody solved what happens after it pays. Teams building agent commerce today face the same failure modes, over and over:

Duplicate payments

A retry after a network timeout becomes a second charge. A copied transaction hash becomes a second claim. Without atomic replay protection, the same money gets spent twice.

Uncertain settlement

Was the payment actually settled, or just submitted? Most integrations treat "sent" as "done." When settlement is ambiguous, operations proceed on hope — and hope isn't an accounting method.

No recovery path

Payment succeeded but the response never arrived. The operation is done, the money is gone, and the caller has no way to find out what happened. Retry, and you risk paying again.

No evidence trail

When something goes wrong — and it will — there's no tamper-evident record of what was authorized, what was paid, what was delivered, and what the outcome was. Disputes become arguments.

How it works

One operation, fully tracked

Every economic operation through Veyline follows the same lifecycle. Each stage is verified before the next begins, and the full trail is preserved as evidence.

INTENT→ POLICY→ PREFLIGHT→ ROUTING→ AUTHORIZATION→ PAYMENT→ SETTLEMENT→ EXECUTION→ DELIVERY→ OUTCOME→ RECONCILIATION→ RECOVERY→ EVIDENCE

Before the money moves

Intent is checked against your policies. Preflight simulation confirms the operation is viable. Nothing executes without authorization.

While the money moves

Payment is verified on-chain. Settlement is classified with certainty — confirmed, unconfirmed, or unknown. Execution runs exactly once, even under retries and crashes.

After the money moves

Delivery and outcome are proven separately from payment. Failures recover safely. The entire operation is recorded as tamper-evident evidence you can audit later.

Protocols

Protocol-agnostic by design

Veyline wraps the economic operation, not the wire format. x402 is the first live protocol. Others are on the roadmap — the assurance model is the same regardless of how the payment travels.

Assurance model

Safety is the foundation, not a tier

Every Veyline customer gets the full safety model on every plan. Protection against duplicate payments, uncertain settlement, and silent failures is not something we sell as an upgrade.

Duplicate protection

  • Atomic transaction-hash reservation prevents double-claims
  • Idempotency keys make retries safe — same request, one effect
  • Concurrent submissions resolve to exactly one outcome

Settlement certainty

  • Payments verified independently on-chain, not trusted on submission
  • Settlement classified as confirmed, unconfirmed, or unknown
  • Unknown settlement never silently becomes "paid"

Evidence integrity

  • Every operation recorded in a hash-chained ledger
  • Payment, execution, delivery, and outcome proven separately
  • Deterministic replay reconstructs any operation for audit

Safe retry & recovery

  • Failed operations recover to a known state — never half-done
  • No retry after unknown settlement without explicit review
  • Crash-safe: interrupted operations resume or roll back cleanly

Policy enforcement

  • Intent checked against your policies before authorization
  • Budgets enforced before execution, approval thresholds that fail closed
  • Server-side enforcement — client assertions are never trusted

Credential security

  • High-entropy API keys, stored hashed, shown once
  • Scoped and product-bound — a key can't exceed its entitlement
  • Revocable and rotatable at any time
Integration

Live in three steps

Get an API key

Purchase access below. You receive a scoped API key bound to your account and your plan's entitlements.

Connect via callx402 or REST

Use the callx402 by Payload CLI for quick operations, or call the REST API directly from your agent or application.

Go live

Set your policies and spend limits. Your agents operate autonomously inside them — every operation verified, settled, and evidenced.

# callx402 by Payload — powered by Veyline
callx402 pay --to api.example.com/data --amount 0.05 --asset USDC
# Veyline verifies intent, policy, payment, settlement —
# then returns proof of execution and outcome.

# Or via REST:
curl -X POST https://api.veyline.io/v1/operations \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"intent": "purchase", "target": "api.example.com/data", "max_spend_usdc": "0.05"}'

Endpoint hostnames shown are illustrative. Production API details are provided with your credentials.

FAQ

Questions

Is Veyline a wallet?
No. Veyline never holds your funds, your private keys, or your seed phrases. Your wallet stays yours. Veyline verifies payments on-chain and controls what your agents are authorized to do — it never takes custody.
Do I get Veyline's source code?
No. You purchase licensed access to Veyline's capabilities — the API, the CLI, the documentation, and your entitled features. The underlying platform, including its safety systems and proprietary logic, remains operated by Payload.
What chains and assets are supported?
At launch: USDC on Base. Additional networks and assets will be added as demand and verification support them.
How is Veyline different from the Veyline Developer Primer?
The Developer Primer ($79) is the downloadable starter kit for learning x402 and adding payments to your own server — you run everything yourself. Veyline is the hosted production platform that evolved from that direction: the full economic lifecycle with settlement certainty, exactly-once execution, recovery, and evidence, operated as a service.
Do my agents need me to approve every payment?
No. Once you've configured your policies, spend limits, and entitlements, your agents operate autonomously inside them. Purchasing access is a one-time human step; economic operations run on their own within your approved bounds.
What happens if a payment succeeds but something fails afterward?
Veyline recovers the operation to a known state. You can query the operation to see exactly what happened — what was paid, what executed, what was delivered — and retry safely without risk of duplicate charges.
Is RevRule included with Veyline?
No. RevRule is a separate Payload product with its own purchase and entitlement. Veyline works fully without it; the two can integrate where that makes sense for your use case.
