Terms of Service — Veyline
Last updated: October 7, 2026. These terms cover Veyline, the metered API subscription operated by Payload.
1. What Veyline is
Veyline is a subscription API service: economic-control and assurance infrastructure for autonomous commerce (intent verification, payment verification, settlement classification, safe recovery, tamper-evident evidence). You purchase licensed access to the API, the tooling, the documentation, and your plan's entitled features. The underlying platform remains operated by Payload.
2. Plans and billing
Plans: Free / Sandbox ($0, 1,000 operations/month), Developer ($99/month, 10,000 operations/month), Production ($499/month, 100,000 operations/month), Growth ($1,499/month, 1,000,000 operations/month), Enterprise ($5,000+/month, negotiated). Billing is processed by Stripe; subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Prices are in USD and exclusive of any applicable taxes.
3. Metering and fair use
Operations are metered against your plan's included allocation in real time. Requests beyond the allocation are throttled (HTTP 429) — never silently billed. API-key limits apply per plan. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret; keys are stored hashed and shown only at creation.
4. Acceptable use
You may not: resell or sublicense API access except through your own applications built on it; attempt to bypass metering, authentication, or rate limits; use Veyline for unlawful activity; or probe, attack, or degrade the service. We may suspend accounts engaged in abuse, fraud, or activity that threatens the service or other customers.
5. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, improve, or deprecate API features with reasonable notice; breaking changes will be versioned. Paid plans may be cancelled any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial-month refunds unless required by law.
6. Liability
Veyline is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Payload's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including losses from failed or misclassified transactions processed through your own systems.
7. Your data
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
